Linn Energy LLC of Houston didn't turn to outside counsel to negotiate a joint venture agreement with an affiliate of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. Instead, senior counsel Greg Kopel led the negotiations for Linn, and outside counsel handled tax matters. On April 3, Linn announced a joint venture agreement with an affiliate of Anadarko Petroleum that calls for Linn to participate in a CO2 enhanced oil recovery development in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.
