It?s a scene that I am sure is playing out in relationships everywhere. She glances over his shoulder at his email in box and sees a message that says, ?Someone has a crush on you, to find out who, click the link?.
Now she wants to know who sent that. She wants you to click the link, but you and I both know the truth: it?s spam, if you click that link, you set of a chain reaction of malware, spyware, keystroke loggers and viruses of epic proportion!. But all she sees is an email from a mystery woman, and you refusing to go to the link, presumably for fear of being caught cheating.
It does beg the question: How many relationships have ended thanks to a suspicious looking message about male enhancement. Or a tracking notification of a mysterious Fedex package. Or an invitation from someone named Ashley Madison.
Sure, a healthy and solid relationship isn?t going to break up just because of an e-mail, but I?d wager this has been the catalyst for a whole lot of shaky marriages.
The moral is ladies; don?t jump to conclusions, and guys, double check your spam filter.
But what do I know?
